Letterpress II: Polymer (WI2015)

This class will begin where Letterpress I: Wood and Metal Type leaves off. Students will jump right into working with polymer plates, which allow artists to print their own design, and set type digitally. The class will cover all aspects of printing with polymer plates, including design, pre-press, developing plates, and printing. This class will also investigate two-color registration, double-sided printing, and other skills that arise based on each student’s projects. The goal is for students to graduate from the class having versatile knowledge of letterpress printing.

NEW 4-WEEK FORMAT:
We condensed our polymer class to four weeks, allowing more students to add this method of image-making and printing to their skill set.

Refund Policy

PAYMENT POLICY: All classes require full payment. Payment in 2 installments may be requested by sending an email to info@spudnikpress.org.

For cancellations made at least one week prior to the first class, we can refund 50% of the full tuition, or give 100% studio credit to be used within the next 6 months. For cancellations made with less than one weeks notice, we can only give studio credit to be used within the next 6 months. No refund is available if students cancel within 48 hours of the class, workshop or lesson.

Student Material List:

Paper, film, & plates for independent project. Two 5″x8″ polymer plates, one film, and basic supplies will be provided. Students able to bring laptop with Illustrator are encouraged to do so.
