Intro to Relief Printmaking

Whether you’re a seasoned printmaker or you’ve never held a baren, you’ll be channeling the spirits of Hokusai and Durer in no time with this 7-week introductory course in relief printmaking! We’ll cover topics including drawing for relief, carving, printing by hand and on the press, printing on fabric, and color-techniques like reductive carving and chine colle’. Wood will be provided for the initial class project

Meets for 8 weeks every Tuesday from 6:30 – 9:00 pm beginning June 19, 2012with Liz Born | Spaces available: 0 | Price: $170
This class provides authorization to use the Conrad Press and relief printmaking facilities after the class, during Open Studio times or by appointment.
