Monoprinting may be the most approachable, immediate, and varied type of printmaking out there. This class will expose students to a myriad of possible ways to use plexiglass, general art supplies, and found objects to create stenciled images, paintings, and textures with ink and a simple press. Processes will include reductive monotypes, additive monotypes, trace monotypes, water-based monotypes, stenciling, and multiple plate techniques.
All basic materials are provided except paper. Students may wish to supply additional materials, depending on individuals projects.
Authorizations: This class will provide authorization for the Conrad Etching Press.
Meets for 3 weeks every Tuesday from 6:30 – 9:00 pm beginning August 14, 2012 with Liz Born | Spaces available: 5 | Price: $85
