Erin Armstrong is a print-maker who got her start in the art program at Illinois State University where she achieved a B.A. in the Arts, concentration in Intaglio with experience in Lithography, woodblock and linoleum printing, photo-transfer prints, and photography. Her work relies heavily on imagery bred from dreams and nightmares, vintage ephemera, childhood memories, and nostalgia – often using inspiration from iconic religious images, the occult, cinematic and supernatural themes. She has had her work featured in Bust magazine and in various galleries in the US and abroad. Based out of Chicago, Erin is a freelance poster artist and musician running her own print and illustration company, Kill Hatsumomo Prints, curating local shows, working as an accredited professional printer for Steve Walters at Screwball Press and printing independently for several well-known artists in the city and across the US.
