Inside Views: Micro Publishing

Join our community as we share a selection of artists books and collaborative project produced at Spudnik Press.

Spudnik Press Cooperative boasts a unique collection of book arts resources. We host traditional printing presses, binding equipment, unique processes like Risography, classes, workshops, exhibitions, and a library. The library emphasizes books, both self-published and from micro-publishers, that consider the printing process an integral part of the artwork.

Artists Charlie Megna, Veronica Siehl and April Sheridan will all be on hand to discuss their publications. The Perch will lead a book making tutorial and discuss their efforts to create free opportunities for artists to develop unique book-related projects. Additionally, guests may visit our letterpress room to contribute to our forthcoming publishing project and view our current exhibition, Chicago Printers Guild 5 Year Anniversary.
