Space Race

This Spring, Spudnik expanded to a new frontier. Through unveiling Space Race, we hope to spark unprecedented support for community arts and democratic printmaking. Evolving into a larger space will allow us to launch two new printing processes: We will capture advanced letterpress technology through the implementation of movable type and photo polymer plate making capabilities. We will provide unprecedented opportunities for Chicago artists to utilize offset printing communications through our AB Dick 324.
An upsurge in support for the studio through patron opportunities or pure philanthropy will accelerate advancements within the studio. With sufficient momentum, the theoretical possibilities of approachable and affordable print making will develop in to real benefits.
Space Race will encompass a variety of projects and events that will all contribute to our ultimate goal of expanding to a larger studio that can incorporate private studios, additional classes and keyholder opportunities, letterpress printing, and offset printing.
