SUMMARY:Fall 2017 Member Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our last Member Meeting of the year and meet a very special guest artist\, Shinzaburo Takeda\, visiting all the way from Oaxaca\, Mexica! Our gathering will be held in the Spudnik Annex on Wednesday\, November 15th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. \nSpudnik Member Meetings allow our diverse community of printmakers to connect through the sharing of artwork\, artist opportunities\, and collaborative initiatives. Share your ideas for how we can make Spudnik (and your membership) best support you and your art-making! \nOn The Agenda:\nHow Did We Do This Year & What’s NEW in 2018\nWe want to hear from you! How was this year? Are there any changes or recommendations that you have for our space and studio hours? How can we build on what we accomplished this year and do even better next year? Help us plan for 2018 and let us know what opportunities and activities you would be most interested in being a part of next year. \nThe 2018 Hashbrown Chili Cook-off and Carnival\nOur all-you-can-eat chili fundraiser is only a few months away. Consider joining our Hashbrown Committee and partake in all the fun! \n2018 Equipment Fund & Exhibitions Committee\nLearn about upcoming member-driven fundraising efforts and our exhibitions program. \nPress Reservations\nIn light of recent discrepancies\, we’ll review and reflect on the guidelines for reserving a press and determine what\, if any\, changes should be made for 2018. Be sure to attend if you are a frequent press user! \nPrinters “Show & Tell”\nEach member meeting\, we invite a Spudnik Press member or guest artist to share their artwork and discuss their art practice. We are very excited to announce that we will be joined by Japanese Mexican printmaker and painter\, Shinzaburo Takeda.
