SUMMARY:Drink & Draw [VIRTUAL] Architecture: Rooms from Memory
DESCRIPTION:This May\, we’re dedicating our Drink & Draw series to architectural space! Join us for one or both sessions to explore perspective\, geometry\, scale\, maps\, schematics\, and try out unconventional ways of rendering spaces\, both real and imagined. \nGuest Artist: Ann Toebbe\nJoin artist Ann Toebbe to see how she creates her signature drawings and paintings. Partly an exercise in drafting\, and partly a reflection of your own memory\, you will create a domestic interior of a familiar\, beloved\, or important room. These architectural renderings do not require any formal drawing skills; all forms of representation are welcome for these invented spaces informed by your memories! Even the gaps in what you remember can be a source of inspiration for creating an invented space whose walls\, windows\, furniture\, and doors can bend and shift to accommodate the important objects you want your room to hold.  \nSuggested Materials \n\nPencil\, eraser\, and paper for sketching\nOne larger sheet of paper (up to 16” x 20”)\nBlack pens or fine markers\nColorful markers\, pencils\, crayons\, or watercolors\n\nZoom Meeting ID: 9508 6321 741\n\nDrink & Draw [VIRTUAL] is a low-key drop-in social workshop devoted to staying creative from home. There are no pretensions and newcomers are always welcome\, so invite your friends to join! Each Drink & Draw [Virtual] features a guest artist and a theme or project that uses everyday household supplies. Don’t have all the materials? Hosts will help you improvise.
