DESCRIPTION:Spudnik Press is happy to host an exciting subsidized workshop for the incredible organization Girls Rock! Chicago. Led by Teaching Artist Anna Wagner\, students and staff from Girls Rock! Chicago will be learning about collagraph printing techniques.  \nAbout the Program: \nSubsidized Workshops at Spudnik Press aim to provide organizations with the opportunity to explore the art of printmaking in a supportive and creative environment. Each workshop will be taught by a resident Teaching Artist at Spudnik Press and participating organizations may choose from an array of printmaking topics or techniques. \nAbout the Organization: \nGirls Rock! Chicago is committed to educating girls and TGNC youth about the musical\, technical\, and creative aspects involved in musicianship though their music education programs for girls and transgender & gender expansive youth ages 8 to 16. Girls Rock! Chicago believes that music can be a crucial tool in allowing youth to respond to preconceived notions of what they can do and what they can become. \n——————– \nPrograms at Spudnik Press are partially supported by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council Agency and Builder’s Initiative. \nThis project is partially supported by a Chicago Arts Recovery Program grant from the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs & Special Events. \n
