Alex Kostiw is a designer and artist with a focus on print, publications, and experimental comics. He received an MFA in visual communication design from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a BA in English lit from the University of Chicago. Kostiw’s work has been recognized by the Society for News Design, the Illinois College Press Association, Creative Quarterly, and Illustration Served. It has also been exhibited at the Society of Illustrators and collected in the Library of Congress, the National Museum of Women in the Arts, and the Joan Flasch Artist’s Book Collection. His previous clients include the Chicago Tribune, Rescue Press, Iceberg Projects, the Alphawood Foundation, the University of Chicago Society of Fellows in Liberal Arts, and the Chicago Reader.
