October 21 | Silkscreen Monoprinting (4 Weeks)

Bring the fluidity and freedom of watercolor painting into the printshop! Screen Painting is an often under-utilized technique which allows artists to manipulate water-soluble media and turn them into screen prints. Students will experiment with watercolors in their liquid, cake, and pencil form, and pull a series of monoprints, rendering their images in a way that would be impossible with paint alone.

No experience in either print or paint is required, as screen painting is versatile enough to allow beginners and experts to produce quality monoprints which vividly display the hand of the artist.
