my name is david ruff, and i am a chicago based contemporary artist working in a variety of media. my work is characterized by a love of details, the architecture of objects and the geometry surrounding the subject. inspirations can come from real life or from a very fertile imagination. while studying visual arts, i developed a love for the art of printmaking and that has translated into many ideas from this medium into other types of artwork including photography, digital artwork and paintings. but i still go back to my roots by doing screenprinting, woodcut and linoprints.
