Fire in the Raucous Wire, by Uriel Correa (Ten x Ten 2015)

Medium: Screenprint
Edition Size: 10
Dimensions: 18″ x 18″

Fire in the Raucous Wire is one of ten prints published as part of the Ten x Ten 2015 Collection. Ten x Ten 2015 is the result of a year-long collaboration involving ten unique partnerships between jazz/improvising musicians and visual artists focused on the role of improvisation.

Fire in the Raucous Wire was printed in conjunction with music by the same name composed by Eli Namay.

Eli and Uriel engaged in a back and forth exchange exploring the theme of conflict. The musical score consists mostly of text instructions on how the members of the ensemble are to relate to each other.”
