pause, respond is one of ten prints published as part of the Ten x Ten 2015 Collection. Ten x Ten 2015 is the result of a year-long collaboration involving ten unique partnerships between jazz/improvising musicians and visual artists focused on the role of improvisation.

pause, respond was printed in conjunction with music by the same name composed by Anton Hatwich.

“The process of collaboration began with Trevor providing an abstract animated short for Anton to use to influence the initial composition for the first performance. Trevor was inspired by the initial composition created another image to influence Anton in creating a final composition for the Ten x Ten recording which influenced Trevor’s final design for the Ten x Ten printed edition. The process of it all was discussed over a few beers.”
