Vigil was made to accompany The Hunger Will Wake Us presented May 21 – July 7, 2021. This exhibition featured artwork by Hope Wang and Farnaz Khosh-Sirat and marks the first time both artists have translated their digital works into print. Wang explores the materialization of poetry to aesthetic form. Khosh-Sirat remixes animation stills into prints on metal. This never-ending book celebrates the fallibility of memory and fixed meaning. Each page flip reconstructs Wang’s poetic titles and
Khosh-Sirat’s compositions and prompts an alternate reading.
