Morgan Sims

Morgan Sims received his BFA in printmaking from the University of Washington, Seattle in 2004, and MFA in Graphics from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, 2010. He often teaches at Elmhurst College and was recently a Visiting Professor at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA. He is a painter, printmaker, and neon artist. He shows his work in many venues locally, including recently with Bert Green Fine Art, Heaven Gallery, and Intelligentsia. He’s also shown recently in CA, WA, and NY. You can see his work at .

Robert Stokowy

2020-21 Fellow

Robert Stokowy is an artist and composer from Cologne, Germany. His work consists of experimental compositions, text-based interventions, performances and installations. More conceptual works utilize artistic practices such as photography, writing, printmaking and drawing. All projects are framed and connected by an overarching artistic research process, focussing on inner structural characteristics of found or created sonic environments. Using a radically reductive and interdisciplinary approach, Robert’s work investigate modes and possibilities of sonic accessibility. In short art is used as an interdisciplinary tool to understand one’s environment and the human condition.

Sara Sukhun

Studio Fellow 2021

Sara Sukhun is an artist and designer with a BFA in Graphic Design from the American University of Beirut and an MFA in Visual Communication Design from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She has worked with the Palestinian Museum, Dar el-Nimer art gallery, and the Social Justice in the City program at the Issam Fares Institute for Public Policy. She is the recipient of a New Artist Society Award from SAIC and the First Prize Areen Projects Award for Excellence in Graphic Design from AUB.

Anders Zanichkowsky

Program Assistant

Anders Zanichkowsky is an interdisciplinary artist and writer working with paper, video, textiles, and neon. His prints, performances, and installations center queer and transgender experiences of grief, desire, and communication through disaster. Anders graduated with a B.A. in printmaking from Hampshire College in 2008, was an artist in residence with The Arctic Circle in Svalbard in 2016, and received his MFA in printmaking from University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2019.

Fun fact: Anders has space-time synesthesia.


Teaching Bio

Anders Zanichkowsky is a multimedia artist, writer, and educator whose addresses queer desire, uncertainty, and untimely death. He has a BA in printmaking from Hampshire College (2008) and an MFA in printmaking from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (2019). In 2016 Anders was an Artist in Residence with The Arctic Circle in Svalbard, where he printed a series of cyanotypes from melting ice while sailing in the wilderness.
