Remember summer? Plants and flowers growing in the sun; wild lilies in the allies; vines climbing up buildings and spilling over with blossoms; all the sounds and smells and colors of the warmer months…

Join us for a cozy night of “Summer Dreaming” recalling the sunlight and heat waves that will return! Flora and fauna will be our inspiration for a one-page comic strip featuring our own personal narratives and our fantasy avatars in Artist Shari Carillo will start the session with group drawing activities looking at the natural world, and then lead us through exercises in character development, layouts, lettering and inking, and adding color. This fast and fun way of producing short and sweet narratives can be a great compliment to your sketchbook or journaling practice as you face the rest of the winter.

Drink & Draw [Virtual] is a low-key drop-in social workshop devoted to staying creative from home. There are no pretensions and newcomers are always welcome, so invite your friends to join! Each Drink & Draw [Virtual] features a new guest artist and a new theme or project that uses pencil, paper, and everyday household supplies. Don’t have a sketchbook? Hosts will help you improvise.
