“Ask Me Anything” with Amos Kennedy

Unlike the typical artist talk, this event is inspired by the “Ask Me Anything” threads popularized through Reddit and offers a chance for our members to guide the conversation with one of America’s most renowned letterpress printers.

A self-proclaimed “humble Negro printer,” Amos Paul Kennedy, Jr is known for his controversial sense of humor and his provocative political and racial commentary, typically printed with wood and metal type on chipboard.

He produces personal and commissioned prints as proprietor of Kennedy Prints! He also often travels the country spreading his philosophies about life and the art of printmaking.

The conversation will be moderated by Vida Sacic. In addition to being an artist and letterpress printer, Vida is a Spudnik Press board member, co-founder of Letterpress Educators in Art & Design, and associate professor at Northeastern Illinois University.
