Drink & Draw [VIRTUAL]: Draw Your Heart Out! Valentines with Emma Punch

Guest Artist: Emma Punch

If there’s one thing we are all learning right now, it’s how to show our love from a distance. This workshop is for showering affection on all of our loved ones—friends, children, family, lovers, secret crushes—through the delightful tradition of sending Valentines.

Artist Emma Punch will inspire guests with  her own collaged Post-It valentines and examples from different eras and styles. From nostalgic and silly to edgy and political, a handmade, personalized Valentine is a wonderful way to celebrate the people in your life. Maybe you’ll make traditional, papercut doilies that open onto a heart with a cursive message. Or maybe you will get inspired by vintage Valentines, clever puns, cute cartoons, or edgier phrases and risqué illustrations.  You’ll also learn to make personalized envelopes that fit custom sized cards. Don’t have that classic red and pink construction paper? Collage old magazines, wrapping paper, or junk mail! Even if all you have are paper scraps and a marker, Emma will make sure you leave with a set of handmade cards sure to be cherished by the recipient.
