Papermaking

Papermaking can be used as a catalyst for bookmaking, printmaking, drawing, as well as an art form all in it’s own. This hands-on workshop, lead by Spudnik Press Fellow, Caroline Walp, will cover a brief history of papermaking and what exactly paper is or can be made of. Students will learn how to form sheets of paper and experiment with different pigments and dyes and inclusions to make unique sheets to use in their own art practice.

This is a very wet process, so dress down for this workshop. Students will leave with the knowledge to continue making paper from their home or studio with easily accessible materials.
