February 28 | Risography: Analog Experiments (1-Day)
The Risograph is a duplicator that efficiently creates prints with a distinct look and feel. Traditionally, collagraphy combines collage with relief printmaking to produce a variety of textures and forms in a print.
In Risography: Analog Experiments, students will build a multi-color Risograph zine or print series using collage techniques, including cut paper, hand-made textures, 3-dimensional objects, and digital files. We will explore how the copier function of the machine can be used to create a sense of movement, space, and mood through overprinting. This one-day workshop encourages students to experiment and improvise as they learn the mechanics and best practices of risography, making it a perfect option for students at every level of experience.
